Dieses Protokoll dient zur Bestimmung von Lipiden in Meerwasser und biologischen Proben. Lipide in Filtraten werden mit Chloroform oder Mischungen von Chloroform und Methanol im Falle von Feststoffen extrahiert. Lipidklassen werden durch Stäbchendünnschichtchromatographie mit Flammenionisationsdetektion gemessen und ihre Summe ergibt den Gesamtlipidgehalt.
