Hier presenteren we een volgende-generatie sequencing-protocol voor het 16S rRNA rangschikken waarmee identificatie en karakterisering van microbiële gemeenschappen binnen de vectoren. Deze methode houdt het DNA-extractie, versterking en barcoding van monsters door middel van PCR, rangschikking op een stroom-cel, en bio-informatica aan sequencedata tot fylogenetische informatie.
