Globules rouges modifiés ont été caractérisées par séparation de phase aqueuse à deux, fragilité osmotique et la lyse médiée par le complément. Le camouflage des protéines de surface et des antigènes a été évaluée en utilisant la cytométrie en flux et Micro Typing System (MTS) cartes de phénotypage de sang.
