Dit protocol beschrijft een methode voor het opstellen van een muismodel van silicose door herhaalde blootstelling aan silicasuspensies via een neusinfuus. Dit model kan efficiënt, gemakkelijk en flexibel het pathologische proces van menselijke silicose nabootsen met een hoge herhaalbaarheid en economie.
