Dit protocol beschrijft een in vitro batch cultuur fermentatiesysteem van menselijke fecale microbiota, met behulp van inuline (een bekende prebiotisch en een van de meest bestudeerde microbiota modulatoren) om het gebruik van dit systeem te demonstreren bij het inschatten van de effecten van specifieke interventies op fecale microbiota samenstelling en metabole activiteiten.
