Hier presenteren we protocollen om te visualiseren calcium (Ca2 +) Reacties ontlokte door HeLa cellen besmet door Shigella. Door het optimaliseren van de parameters van een bacteriële infectie en imaging met Ca2 + fluorescerende sondes, worden atypische globale en lokale Ca2 + signalen veroorzaakt door bacteriën over een groot bereik van de kinetiek van de infectie gekenmerkt.
