A expansão da fibra de amônia (AFEX) é uma tecnologia termoquímica de pré-tratamento que pode converter biomassa lignocelulósica (por exemplo, estocagem de milho, palha de arroz e bagaço de cana) em uma matéria-prima altamente digestível para biocombustíveis e aplicações de ração animal. Aqui, descrevemos um método em escala laboratorial para a realização do pré-tratamento da AFEX na biomassa lignocelulósica.
