وقد أثبتت الدراسات مورين في نماذج التهاب colonic أن نسبة مئوية صغيرة (1-5 ٪) من الخلايا الجذعية الوسيطة (MSC) حقن الوريد أو إينترابيريتونيلي الرئيسية لالتهاب القولون1،2. وتبين هذه الدراسة أن حقن إينتراكاردياك الموجهة بالموجات فوق الصوتية من MSCs يؤدي إلى زيادة الترجمة إلى الأمعاء.
