Velocidade de onda de pulso (VOP) Medição avalia a rigidez arterial por um sistema baseado em tonometria, que mede a velocidade com que a pressão arterial onda viaja ao longo da árvore arterial, normalmente aproximar o tempo que ele leva essa onda de viajar da aorta descendente (usando a carótida artéria como um substituto) a artéria femoral. Carótida-femoral PWV aumenta duas a três vezes ao longo da vida adulta.
