We beschrijven een alternatieve benadering voor de opsomming van mycobacteriën<em> In vitro</em>, Die reporter-gen maakt gebruik van gelabeld mycobacteriën in plaats van kolonievormende eenheden (CFU). "Overleven" van organismen als gastheer response-markers worden gelijktijdig gemeten, het verstrekken van een low-cost, veelzijdig en functioneel systeem voor de studie van gastheer / pathogeen interacties in de context van tuberculose.
