Een eenvoudige methode voor de identificatie van de prioritaire bacteriële pathogenen is het gebruik van genetisch gemanipuleerd reporter faag. Deze verslaggever faag, die specifiek zijn voor hun specifieke gastheer soorten, zijn in staat om snel transduceren een lichtgevend signaal naar aanleiding van gastheercellen. Hierin beschrijven we het gebruik van de reporter faag voor de detectie van<em> Yersinia pestis</em>.
